We individually select and hand craft our own feather hair extensions.
Our hair feathers are hand selected and crafted by Heather using premium quality feathers appropriate for feather hair extensions. Each feather extension bundle is I-tipped (bonded at the tip) for ease of use and to create an ideal look. All of our feathers are 100% natural and one-of-a-kind. They will have natural variations in characteristics such as color, length, width, density & markings. We hand dye most of our dyed feathers ourselves. All of our feathers have been thoroughly washed & cleaned. They are then treated with a quality conditioner.
Hair Feathers can generally be worn 1-3 months in a single installation, depending on care. They can be washed, blow-dried, curled & flat ironed just like your natural hair. They can be removed and re-installed as desired.
All of our feather hair extensions come with 1 feather bundle, 3 micro beads (crimp beads) and instructions. Additional installation tools & beads are available for purchase. Please see product pages and descriptions for quantity of feathers in a single feather hair extension/bundle. A five (5) feather bundle will typically consist of 2 primary feathers in your color choice combined with 3 natural tone feathers.
If you wish for your feathers to NOT be bonded at the tip. We are happy to do so. Please include a note/instructions with your order.
Installation Instructions
You will need:
Feather hair extension bundle
micro bead (crimp bead)
threading tool
crimp bead pliers or needle nose pliers.
Load a single micro bead on to the threading tool. A dental floss threader can be used as a substitute for threading tool. Thread approx. a 1/8 inch section of hair on or through the threading tool.
Slide the micro bead off the threading tool onto hair. Hold the bead on the hair near the scalp.
Slide the feather extension into the bead with the hair.
Crimp the bead flat with pliers. Needle nose pliers work best.
To remove your feather hair extension, crimp the bead with pliers in the opposite direction, opening the bead. Slide the bead and feathers off your hair.
